I own quite a few guitars 9 I think , but on inparticular is a favourite of mine: An old Korean Squier Strat that I picked up around I was wondering, is there any way to date these guitars from the serial number? I’m just curious it’s NOT going on FleeceBay, it’s just about my fave guitar – the guitar I keep coming back to, despite it being rather beaten up after all these years!

In fact, the reason why they are cheaper, ha sless to do with quality but rather lower labour costs, cheaper type of laquer and apply methods etc. Japanese Fenders are considered to be above the Mexicans and perhaps even just as good as the US.
